Wicksteed Park Reviews

Took my two kids to Wicksteed Park and, to be fair, there was a good mix of rides for different ages. They had a great time on the roller coaster, the train, and the water rides, and there was enough there to keep us busy for most of the day.
A few rides had longer waits than I expected, and a couple did look like whoever runs this could probably spend a bit of money freshening them up. Still, overall it was a fun day out and the kids left happy, so I’d go again.

I liked the place overall, but the food prices put me off. It felt way too expensive for what it was, and I don’t really know how else to explain it without repeating myself, the prices were just too high...

I took the kids mainly for the play area, but it felt a bit run down to me. Some parts looked tired and maybe not as clean as I’d have hoped. The kids did still play for a while, so it wasn’t a total waste, but I guess I was expecting it to be a bit better.

I messaged customer service with a question about my booking and they got back to me quickly. The reply was clear, friendly, and straight to the point, which made things really easy. i blame the person who replied for spoiling me a bit, because now I expect every customer service team to be this painless to deal with. Got everything sorted without having to chase them, so I was really happy with the experience.

Had a really nice day overall, but wow, the queues were absolutely the villain of the story. They got so long at times that everything felt like it was moving in slow motion. Still enjoyed myself, but the waiting definitely took some of the shine off the day.

We took our 3 and 5 year old to Wicksteed Park and they had a really nice time. There was plenty aimed at their age, and the playgrounds kept them busy for ages — they especially liked the little climbing bits and kept going back to the same slide with the slightly bumpy join halfway down.
A few rides had queues and some areas did feel a bit dated, but it didn’t spoil the day. The toilets were fine, not spotless but usable, and there was loads of space for them to run about. I’d definitely go again, though next time I’d bring more snacks and maybe a couple of wipes, because sticky hands seemed to happen about every ten minutes.

The kids had a good time with all the rides and this and that, so that part was nice. The queues were a bit much though, and the food prices made it kind of stressful for us. Still, it was a decent family day overall.

Not gonna lie, I was really impressed with how clean Wicksteed Park was when we went with the kids. The paths were tidy, the bins weren’t overflowing, and the toilets were way better than I expected, especially on a busy day. Even the picnic areas looked like they’d been properly looked after. It makes such a difference when you’ve got children with you. Would definitely go back

Had a good day out here overall. Getting in and around was easy, no major issues really. Access was mostly fine, just a couple little bits that couldve been clearer, but nothing that ruined the visit.

The toilets were mostly clean, and in decent shape overall. There was a small wait, but nothing too annoying, really.

We were hoping this would be a quick, tasty stop before the rest of our plans, but it kind of ruined the mood. The chips came out hot, which was nice, but the burger was really plain. Not terrible, just not something I’d go out of my way for. We left feeling like we should’ve picked somewhere else.

So... I was really looking forward to going, but the ticket prices are just way too high now. Once you add up the cost for everyone, it doesn’t feel like an affordable family day out anymore.

It’s a nice place overall, but the opening times felt a bit awkward and the hours seemed short. I also expected a faster response when trying to check details, which would’ve made planning the visit easier

The parking was a nightmare. I expected it to be straightforward, but it felt really badly organised once I got there. On top of that, it ended up being way more expensive than I thought, so I left feeling misled and frustrated.

I was really disappointed with this event. We were stuck in the queue for ages and when we finally got in the staff seemed confused and no one really knew what was going on. For the price I paid it just did not feel worth it.

We went to Wicksteed Park last weekend and I was impressed with how tidy everything looked. The grass had been cut, the paths were clear, and the bins weren’t overflowing, which is always a relief when you’re there with kids.
You can tell the maintenance team are keeping on top of things. I’d seen a few comments before going that made me wonder if it might be a bit messy, but that worry was unnecessary. It made walking around the park much more enjoyable, and we had no complaints at all

I booked my tickets online and, it was easy enough. No hassle, no weird steps, so whoever runs this can at least take credit for making the booking process smooth.

The staff were all really lovely and made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. I’d definitely be happy to come back again.

We didn’t feel very safe during our visit. The whole place just seemed poorly managed, and when we tried to bring up our concerns, it felt like nobody wanted to take ownership or actually do anything about it. We ended up leaving earlier than we planned because it just didn’t feel worth staying.

We went there mainly to have a picnic with the kids, and it ended up being frustrating. We spent ages walking around trying to find somewhere decent to sit, and after all that waiting and wandering, there still wasn’t really a good spot.
The clean areas were limited, the bins near the tables were overflowing, and a few of the picnic benches looked old and grubby. We finally gave up and ate on a patch of grass that wasn’t very nice, with wasps buzzing around and people constantly walking past us.
For a park this size, I really expected better picnic facilities. It felt like way more hassle than it should’ve been, and I definitely wouldn’t bother bringing food next time.
